bb gun v pigeon?
for obvious reasons i cant use either my .22 air rifle or steyr 308 in a built up area. all can use is my bb pistol with lazer sight. but i need to know would the .177 copperheads kill town pigeons. the vermin are infesting my area and out of control. i need to know if i winged it would it eventually die from shock or the damage inflicted from a single shot. it has to be one shot one hit one kill. i cant afford for one shot to miss and end up putting a neighbours window in.
for the people below who have nothing constructive to say how about i asked "a neighbours dog shat on my tulips, what caliber should i use to kill it" off course there would be an out cry. i'm talking about taking an animals life. depending on how many smart as's replies i get i may take the 308 on a dog hunt.
Good head shots only. Otherwise the BB just becomes imbedded beneath the feathers causing a slow, lingering death. Possible solution, plant fake owls in strategic locations near your home. They might keep the pigeons away until they get wise.
