What is the best way to deal with mice in your house?
We haven't had mice in the house for ages...but we had the cat put down about 2 years ago, and I just got a surprise under the kitchen sink! Apparently, mice got into the suet cakes I got for the bird feeder out back...shiver! I DON'T DO VERMIN!!!
So...what is the best way to make the little beasties go elsewhere? I cleaned under the cabinet, and picked up covered traps (had bad, BAD mojo with the wood cheap traps...the mouse dragged it around, blood everywhere...eiwww). Kitchen is clean...trash is out. I disinfected the kitchen top to bottom (massively freaked me out!) Anyone use an exterminator? What do they do? I don't like the idea of poison baits, and dead mice in the walls...
Anything shy of getting another cat...my asthma doc would freak!
Thanks all!
all an exterminator will do is set traps or bait.
1. close all entries, under the sink, use steel wool in any crack or crevice
2. they make a cool battery powered shock trap, just put peanut butter in there, you will get the little buggers.
make sure all food is stored in plastic containers
