Is there something I can spray on my vegetable plants to keep garden pests away?
I am having a horrible time keeping the slugs from eating up all the leaves on my mustard greens, radishes and salad greens. I would like to know if there is something (Homemade) that I can spray on the plants to repel the little buggers. I don't want to harm the other garden critters though. We have lots of little lizards and birds that keep the other insects pretty much under control and I don't want to hurt them. Any one have a recipe I could try?
Try pouring salt around your garden beds - slugs back off & go the other way when they touch salt, and it shouldn't affect birds or lizards although frogs may not like it. You may have to reapply after it rains or heavy watering.
