Can household pests harm a hamster?

By pests, I mean the little bugs--ants, silverfish, etc. I ask because I have an entire room in my house for my hamster to run around during the night. We don't have a lot of pests, but yesterday, I checked in on my hamster and saw that there was a house centipede near her. I killed the centipede, but I'm just wondering whether such bugs can pose harm to my hamster?

No, these household pests will ignore your hamster. However, be careful with insects that bite (red ants, spiders, etc) If you have a lot of these around be careful. Their bites can aggrevate your hamster (not kill or make sick). Your hamster seems to be living the high life (a whole room to herself!) That's very generous of you.
