zodiac spot on treatment not working need to know how long before I can do frontline plus?
Got a bad flea problem here I am fighting. I have done the borax, special crystal stuff that guarantees flea elimination but doesnt work, etc. But first I need to get my kitties flea free and then take care of the rest of the house with professional flea killer for the home while they and I leave until it all dries. So, on July 1st I bought Zodiac spot on. It worked for a while and have even had to give flea shampoo to my cats a week ago as I am desperately trying to get rid of these pests. Since the Zodiac does not seem to be working anymore as they are scratching and everything again, how long do I have to wait to do the frontline plus? And then how long until it works? Im sick of being bitten by the fleas and I vacuum a lot, throw out the bag right away, etc. I just want to get this done and over with. I wont even let people come over they are so bad.
I'm not sure, but if you call Merial (who makes Frontlline) they can tell you. From their website:
"If you require additional information regarding FRONTLINE® please call 1-800-660-1842. The hours of operation for FRONTLINE® are Monday through Friday from 8 am-7 pm (ET)."
For immediate relief for the kitties, you may want to obtain a Capstar pill from your vet which will kill any fleas that are on them (you can actually see them dropping off within a half hour!) Since tapeworms usually accompany fleas, they may want to check a poop sample & give them a dewormer.
Another good product for cats is Revolution, but I think it's a bit pricier and only obtainable through your vet.
