Is the JML Pest Shield any good?
I'm desperate to get rid of the cockroaches in my kitchen. I'd be really uposet if this gizmo turned out to be a false hope.

Ultrasonic sound has been shown to deter pests when the signal is adequately loud. 90 to 120db will keep pests away.
This level of sound requires a 7,500 watt amplifier and a 450 lb ultrasonic transducer that stands 6 feet tall.
The toy battery powered piece of junk you bought wouldn't even make enough sound to annoy them much less drive them away. 7,500 watts would cost you 1,000 per month in electric bill. I would buy a can of bug spray or a bag of boric acid.
