do the ultrasonic mouse traps work?
We think we've got mice come to stay for the winter. So far they don't seem to have managed to get into the actual house, and are just living in the walls (we think they got in from around a pipe outside). I'm wondering if the ultrasonic and electromagnetic deterrant machines work? seen here: http://www.primrose-london.co.uk/pest-control-mouse-deterrents-c-24_25mouse.html?source=googleads&gclid=CKq-14mh5pYCFQOx1AodYxtuPQ
I don't particularly want to use old-fashioned traps. Previously I've just poisoned them, but I don't think my landlord will go for that, so i'm thinking of buying something like this. Any thoughts?
Yes, they do work...BUT you have to change the settings on them periodically. Mice get used to the sound, so change it to 'rat' setting for a few days. I found this worked...I was just about to throw the damn thing out and resort to poison again! Mind you, the only kind that work at all are the ones that go through the wiring of your house. cheaper ones are a waste of time..well, my mice even seemed to like the sound!
