Is there a back gate to Camp Pendleton?

I just need to know if there is a back gate on the San Clemente//Las Pulgas side of base for my husband to get into so he can go to where he works?

It all depends if there is a gate or not for our decision where to get an apartment

Also if there is no gate on that side, does anyone know how long it takes from the main gate in Oceanside to get to the Las Pulgas side of base?

Thanks !

There are 6 gates to Camp Pendleton that he could use.

Way up north, back in the mountains, is Mateo
On the north side of the base, off the 5 and the coast, is San Onofre
Halfway down the coast, off the 5, is Las Pulgas
Down in oceanside, right off the waterfront, is Del Mar
Then there's the main gate just north of Oceanside.
Around the backside is the Fallbrook gate, which runs through the Navy Station before coming onto CP

If he works in Las Pulgas, then he's just going to have a long drive anyway, either from the north or the south end of base, there's no way around it since the bases pushes all the way up to the ocean.

I will tell you that life is MUCH better up north then down south. Oceanside/Vista/Etc are s**tholes, go look for a place in San Clemente or one of the Lagunas. More expensive, but worth it time and time again.
