My female cat (with kittens of 9 weeks) is meowing and calling and driving us nuts, is she in season again!!?

Our female cat 'Shadow' is only just over 1 yr old, she has 3 x kittens who are 9 weeks old and she is driving us crazy!! She is meowing and calling and generally a pest at the moment during the day and night. She keeps rolling about wanting fuss (unusual for her), crawling low and sitting at the back door. We are worried to let her wander far incase she gets 'had' again by another male cat, until we have had her fixed. How long does this last?
Is she in season again already, we are keeping one of the kittens (female) and the other 2 are going at the end of the month.
Looking forward to anybodys answers. Thanks very much.

Yes, she is in season! Get her to the vet and get her fixed or you will have another litter right away..and it will be bad for her and bad for any kittens she might have. I am not sure if the vet will fix her while she's in heat, but you have to ask. And whatever you do, don't let her out, because you know what will happen. She won't have to wander far...I'm surprised your kitty doesn't have a bunch of Romeos hanging outside your back door just waiting for her to come out.

I once had a cat that did this...I didn't know she could get pregnant so fast. It was tragic...I no sooner gave away her one litter, and she had another one. And the second one consisted of three kittens, and two of them died and the third one had severe genetic issues (it was deformed) and had to be put down.

And when that kitten you're keeping is big enough (at least by 6 months) be sure to get her fixed early or you'll have real problems there too.
