Garden Pests Cats

Another cat is coming into the house via the cat flap and scaring my 2 cats?

There is a large black cat that I have spotted on many occassions in my garden, he has been inside the house via the cat flap and I often find him at the back door. One of my cats is terrified of him and now won't leave the house. He runs off immediately if he sees me, but he is a pest and I've caught him in the house lots of times. What can I do to stop him or deter him apart from getting a collar activated cat flap? He has traumatised one of my poor cats. The other fights with him, but my girl cat is a wreck.
I did want to avoid the magnetic cat flap as I know my cats will hate wearing the collars, but I think its my only option. Also I can't get near the bully cat, as soon as he sees me he bolts like lightening. I have had both cats spayed when they were kittens.

We had this problem several years ago, and bought the Staywell magnetic cat flap thingy, it did mean that both our cats had to wear collars with the magnet thing on but it did stop the bully from several doors down coming in and sh*tting everywhere.

Watch out for the batteries tho - when they start to run down the cat flap will start "clicking" open on its own accord.

Also hubby laid in wait one night, caught the bully as it came in, ran into the bathroom with it and held it under the cold bath tap - not necessarily recommended with the amount of scratches he ended up with on his arms!
