how to kill pest on a jalapeno plant organically?

pest are eating my jalapeno plant leaves, i dont want to use pestacides

I have used dish washing detergent mixed with water in a spray bottle on my plants, herbs and rose bushes. Mixture: 1 Tablespoon to 16 oz water and spray lightly on plants regularly. The bugs do not like the taste and it is not harmful to the plants. Any brand of dish washing detergent. Happy Gardening!
