Help! Pest problem!?

To my horror I opened an item from the kitchen pantry and found the following:

Very small (almost microscopic) ants.
Which appear a light gray in color.

Upon closer inspection of other food items they seem to be concentrated around:

Boxed items.
Rice-a-roni boxes.
Pasta boxes.
Even found in boxes for plastic wrap and aluminum foil.

Majority being items which consist of cardboard containers.

A few weeks ago I noticed them also in a container of floor. The floor was stored in a plastic container.

I did not find them in items such as chips and cookies.

Additional details,

Location: Central Florida.
Dwelling type: Two story condo with living space on second floor (built in 2002).

Any information on what these pests are and how to eliminate them in the present and prevent them in the future would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

these are what we commonly call piss ants. they can be eradicated with any commercial spray. If small children present, go to lowes and ask for diotamatious earth. This is volcanic sand in microscopic form. Just follow the directions on the bag and no insects will come in your condo.
